The Mercury was Henry Dreyfuss designing a train the way one would design an object: streamlined shell, integrated lighting, an observation lounge. New York Central built it from rebuilt commuter stock, which makes it one of the few famous streamliners assembled largely from what was already lying around.
The model is exceptionally dense at 5,062,069 polygons and 5,149,335 vertices in quads and tris with non-overlapping UVs, capturing the streamlined bodywork and running gear. It is built to CheckMate specification, and a rigged build is offered separately.
