Robotic Dinosaur
A robotic dinosaur has to be believable as a machine and readable as an animal at the same time. That means the leg geometry has to follow real theropod proportions - long shin, digitigrade foot, heavy tail as a counterweight - while the surfaces read as panelled armour with actuators at the joints rather than as skin. This build carries both, and it arrives rigged.
The mesh is 155,147 polygons and 158,487 vertices in quads and tris with non-overlapping UVs. The rig is the point of the asset: a walk cycle on a two-legged creature with a counterweighted tail is difficult to build from scratch and is already solved here.
Two more rigged builds share this page at the same $239, prepared for Cinema 4D and for Maya. Aimed at games, science fiction film and television, previsualization, theme park and exhibition material, and illustration. On sale since 2024.
Questions About This Model
What is the Robotic Dinosaur model typically used for?
The listing names film & TV VFX, game assets and VR experiences as the main applications. In practice it also works anywhere a finished animals & creatures object is needed without modeling it from scratch.
How heavy is the Robotic Dinosaur mesh?
155,147 polygons and 158,487 vertices, built as polygonal quads/tris. Treat the figure as a planning number: it behaves one way in a single render and another in a level with fifty instances.
How clean is the geometry on the Robotic Dinosaur model?
It is built as an organized scene, not a single welded mesh - parts are separable, named and sized to real-world dimensions.
Does the Robotic Dinosaur model include materials and textures?
The product page states what ships with each format. Textures, when present, come inside the download rather than as a separate purchase. See the listing for the exact contents.
